Ep 3. Historic Mystery

Stone House Revival is a show that follows expert renovator Jeff Devlin as he takes on the challenge of restoring classic, historical homes to their former glory. To give the rooms some character, he incorporates reclaimed wood and antique fixtures into the design.

Throughout the renovation process, Devlin encounters several surprises that create some unexpected challenges. For example, as he removes the old plaster from the walls, he discovers that the home's original framing has been compromised by insect damage. He must work quickly to replace the damaged wood and reinforce the structure.

Another challenge arises when Devlin attempts to create a vaulted ceiling in the living room. He discovers that the home's old timber beams cannot support the weight of the new ceiling, so he must come up with a creative alternative that will still give the room the desired effect.

Despite these setbacks, Devlin remains optimistic and determined to create a beautiful, functional home that will honor its historical roots. Throughout the renovation, he maintains a respectful and collaborative relationship with the homeowner, taking their input into account and working with them to create a space that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
