The King Has Left the Building is the seventh episode of the first season of the American comedy series Still the King. The episode continues to follow the life of Vernon Brownmule, a washed-up country singer who is trying to make a comeback. Vernon has recently discovered that he is the father of a 15-year-old daughter named Charlotte, and is struggling to fit into his newfound role as a father.

In this episode, Vernon is dealing with the aftermath of a reckless decision he made in the previous episode. He made out with Debbie Lynn in front of everyone at Charlotte's school dance, which caused a scene and embarrassed Charlotte. Charlotte is upset with Vernon and doesn't want to speak to him. Vernon tries to apologize, but doesn't have any luck. Meanwhile, Debbie Lynn has gotten the wrong idea and thinks that Vernon is interested in her romantically.

On top of his personal problems, Vernon is also facing financial issues. He has a debt to the IRS that he needs to pay off, but doesn't have the money to do so. His manager, Walt, suggests that they play a benefit concert to raise the money. Vernon agrees, but Walter has some bad news. The concert will be taking place in a maximum security prison.

Unfazed by the prospect of playing for hardened criminals, Vernon and the band prepare for the concert. However, things start to go wrong when Charlotte shows up at the prison with a friend. Vernon tries to bond with Charlotte's friend in an attempt to get her to forgive him, but things don't go as planned. Meanwhile, Walt has some problems of his own. He is getting threatening phone calls from a loan shark he owes money to.

As if things couldn't get any worse, Vernon and the band are forced to go on without their guitarist, who has fallen ill. They try to make the best of the situation but don't do very well. The inmates are unimpressed with the performance, and tension starts to build in the crowd. Just as things are starting to look like they might turn violent, Vernon has an idea. He decides to play an old gospel song that he learned as a child. As he starts to sing, the inmates begin to join in, and soon the entire prison is singing along.

Back at home, Debbie Lynn shows up at Vernon's house uninvited. She tells him that she's in love with him and wants to be with him. Vernon gently turns her down, telling her that he's not interested in her romantically. She leaves, heartbroken.

The episode ends with Vernon and Charlotte bonding over their love of the gospel song he sang at the prison. Charlotte forgives Vernon, and they embrace. Vernon may not have everything figured out, but at least he's starting to make progress.

Overall, The King Has Left the Building is a heartwarming and entertaining episode that continues to explore the relationships and struggles of the show's main characters. It features a great performance by Billy Ray Cyrus as Vernon and showcases his musical talents. Fans of the show will enjoy this episode, which provides a mix of humor, drama, and music.
