Ep 40. On the Run

In the episode "On the Run" of Steven Universe season 1, the story focuses on Steven's best friend, Amethyst. She is feeling down and out of place, and decides to take Steven on a tour of her past, which leads them to places they've never been before.

As the two Gems battle it out, Steven realizes that Amethyst is stronger than she thinks, but also that she's reliant on the approval of others.

In the end, Amethyst manages to defeat Jasper, but it doesn't bring her the satisfaction she had hoped for. She knows that she'll need to confront her issues and find her own sense of purpose if she wants to feel whole again.

This episode of Steven Universe delves deeper into the backstory and emotions of one of the show's most beloved characters. It explores themes of self-doubt, insecurity, and the need for acceptance, all while delivering plenty of action and excitement.
