Carol and Dana are helping to plan a charity auction at the fitness center, but their planning takes a backseat when they discover that JT and Rich are competing against each other in a karate tournament. Dana wants JT to win, as he has been working hard and has a natural talent for karate. Carol, on the other hand, wants Rich to win, as she has promised to help him pay for his tournament fees.
Meanwhile, Frank is struggling to deal with the fact that he is not the best athlete in his family. His brother, Harry, is a former pro football player who is visiting and constantly reminding Frank of his superior athletic ability. This leads to tension between the brothers, and eventually Frank realizes that he needs to let go of his need to be the best and appreciate his own talents.
At the tournament, tensions are high as JT and Rich face off against each other. They both put on an impressive show, but ultimately only one can win. The outcome is a surprise to everyone, including JT and Rich themselves.
Back at home, Frank and Harry come to a reconciliation and Frank learns the importance of valuing himself for who he is, rather than trying to be someone else. The charity auction is a success, and everyone leaves feeling proud of themselves and their loved ones.
