Ep 1. The Big Leagues

Static Shock was an animated television show that aired from 2000 to 2004. The show focused on the adventures of Virgil Hawkins, a high school student who gains superpowers and becomes the superhero known as Static.

In season 2 episode 1, titled "The Big Leagues," Virgil finds himself struggling to balance his responsibilities as a superhero with his obligations as a student. At the beginning of the episode, he is shown falling asleep in class and struggling to stay awake. His friend Richie tries to help by giving him a pill that he claims will keep him awake, but Virgil refuses to take it.

Soon, Static is called into action to stop a group of criminals who are robbing a bank. The criminals turn out to be using high-tech equipment, which Static recognizes as belonging to the Justice League. He confronts the League and discovers that they have been hired by a shadowy organization known only as "the Client" to stop a powerful new villain named Ebon.

Ebon has the power to control shadows and has been causing chaos in the city. The League has been unable to stop him and has turned to Static for help. Static agrees to work with the League but insists that they treat him as an equal teammate, not just a sidekick.

Together, Static and the League go on a mission to stop Ebon. They track him to an abandoned power plant and engage in a fierce battle. Ebon proves to be a formidable opponent, using his shadow powers to create illusions and attack the heroes.

During the battle, Static's powers fluctuate and he realizes that he needs to recharge his suit. He remembers the pill that Richie gave him earlier and takes it, despite his earlier reluctance. The pill gives him a surge of energy and he is able to use his powers to defeat Ebon.

After the battle, Static is offered membership in the Justice League but he declines, saying that he wants to focus on his responsibilities as a student and a superhero in his own neighborhood.

"The Big Leagues" is an action-packed episode that showcases Static's growth as a character. The episode also features appearances by a number of other superheroes from the DC Universe, making it a treat for fans of the comics.
