Ep 1. A Dreadfully New Time

Stath Lets Flats is a British mockumentary sitcom that premiered in 2018 and has since been a fan favorite. Season 2 episode 1, titled A Dreadfully New Time, continues the hilarious story of Stath (played by Jamie Demetriou), an incompetent employee of his family's estate agency, Michael & Eagle.

In addition to the coffee incident, Stath and Sophie discover that a rival estate agency, Smethwicks, is attempting to sabotage their opening by sending a fake client to their office. Stath takes on the fake client himself, determined to outsmart Smethwicks. As a result, mayhem ensues as Stath goes to great lengths to impress the client but ends up making things worse.

Meanwhile, Sophie has her own challenges to deal with when her ex-boyfriend, Coby (played by Kiell Smith-Bynoe), shows up unexpectedly. Coby, the son of Smethwicks' CEO, is revealed to have been the one behind the fake client scheme. Sophie finds herself caught between her loyalty to her family and her feelings for Coby.

As things continue to go wrong with the party, Stath's father starts to lose patience and threatens to fire him. Stath panics and tries to cover up his blunders, which leads him to a rather unconventional solution.

Stath Lets Flats season 2 episode 1 is a rollercoaster ride of hilarious mishaps and shenanigans. Jamie Demetriou once again delivers an outstanding performance, embodying Stath's eccentricities and cringe-worthy moments with ease. The supporting cast is equally impressive, each adding their own flavor to the overall plot.
