Ep 17. The Scourge

While exploring a barren planet, SG-1 stumbles upon a seemingly abandoned village. As they investigate, they suddenly come under attack from an unseen threat. With their weapons ineffective, they are forced to retreat and call for backup from the SGC.

Back at the base, the team discovers that their attackers are a swarm of alien insects known as the Scourge. With the help of Dr. Lam, they quickly realize that the Scourge are not only deadly, but also incredibly intelligent and adaptable. The Scourge have been wiping out entire civilizations for thousands of years, leaving nothing behind but destruction and death.

Despite their best efforts, SG-1 is unable to find a weakness in the Scourge's defenses. As the swarm continues to grow, it becomes clear that the only way to stop them is to destroy their hive on the planet's surface. However, the hive is heavily guarded and the team knows that a frontal assault would be suicide.

With time running out, SG-1 turns to an unlikely ally for help - the Goa'uld System Lord Ba'al. Using his knowledge of the Scourge, Ba'al agrees to help the team infiltrate the hive and destroy it from within. But as they journey deep into the heart of the Scourge's lair, SG-1 realizes that they may have underestimated their enemy.

As they fight their way through the hive, the team begins to uncover the true extent of the Scourge's plan. With their advanced intelligence and technology, the insects have been systematically wiping out entire civilizations in order to create a new, perfect world - one where they are the only inhabitants.

In a final, desperate battle, SG-1 faces off against the Scourge Queen in a bid to stop the swarm once and for all. With everything on the line, the team must use all of their skills and ingenuity to defeat the Queen and destroy the hive before it's too late.

In the end, SG-1 emerges victorious, but not without great cost. They have saved the planet from the Scourge, but only just. As they return to Earth, they know that the fight is far from over and that the Scourge may be one of their greatest threats yet.
