Ep 2. Homecoming

After O'Neill's mission on the planet Edora caused him to be stranded there for several months, SG-1 reunites to celebrate his long-awaited return to Earth only to discover that he has brought back a dangerous alien device called the Touchstone. The Touchstone had been stolen from a planet called Madrona, and its loss has caused severe climate changes, creating harsh winters and deadly storms for the Madronans. With the help of SG-1, the Madronans retrieve the Touchstone and restore their planet's climate, but not without a price.

Meanwhile, Teal'c is dealing with his own emotional turmoil as he is forced to confront the harsh reality of his past as a First Prime of Apophis and the crimes he committed under his command. When a hostile Jaffa commander, named Tilgath, arrives on Earth with a small group of loyal followers, he seeks out Teal'c as his former First Prime and demands his allegiance once again. Teal'c refuses to follow Tilgath and tries to appeal to the Jaffa's sense of honor and loyalty to their own people. However, Tilgath is determined to regain control and threatens to harm Teal'c's son, Ry'ac, who has also been targeted by the Jaffa for refusing to follow their beliefs.

With the help of SG-1 and the Tok'ra, Teal'c executes a elaborate plan to protect Ry'ac and his family from harm while also undermining Tilgath's authority. Through their actions, they also hope to inspire other Jaffa to reject the Goa'uld and their tyrannical rule. In the end, Teal'c must make a difficult decision that not only affects his own future but the future of the Jaffa and their struggle for independence. Will he choose family or duty?

"Homecoming" showcases the series' ability to balance action-packed adventure with emotional character growth and exploration of complex social issues.
