In the 16th episode of the sixth season of Stargate SG1, titled Metamorphosis, the SG1 team travels to the planet of Euronda to investigate its sudden silence. Upon arrival, they find that the population has been reduced to two people: a former enemy of SG1, Nyan, and his sister, Nesa.
Nyan explains that the planet was destroyed by a devastating war with another race known as the Haaken, and that he and Nesa are the only survivors. However, he reveals that his sister has been infected with a virus that is slowly killing her, and he needs their help to save her.
The team quickly begins their investigation and discovers that the Haaken are still alive and well, and have been secretly experimenting on the Eurondans for years. As they dig deeper into the situation, they learn that the virus infecting Nesa is a result of the Haaken's experiments.
As they work to find a cure for Nesa, the team also uncovers a shocking truth: Nyan himself has been a part of the Haaken's experiments all along. He has been willingly allowing them to conduct tests on him in exchange for their promise to find a cure for his sister.
The team must now not only find a way to save Nesa but also to stop the Haaken from continuing their experiments on the Eurondans. With time running out, they must work quickly to find a solution to this complicated situation.
Meanwhile, Colonel O'Neill begins to question the morality of their actions and wonders if they should let Nesa die, as saving her would mean giving the Haaken access to their technology. This moral dilemma is at the heart of the episode and forces the team to confront difficult questions about the consequences of their actions and the greater good.
As the episode comes to a close, the team must make a tough decision that will have far-reaching consequences for both the Eurondans and the Haaken. Will they be able to save Nesa and put an end to the Haaken's experiments, or will they be forced to make a sacrifice for the greater good? Overall, Metamorphosis is a gripping and thought-provoking episode that explores complex moral issues and asks difficult questions about the nature of sacrifice and the price of survival.
