Ep 5. Learning Curve

SG-1 discovers a planet inhabited by a group of humanoid children who are being taught by a machine named the "Tutor." The children are initially hesitant to interact with SG-1, having been taught that all outsiders are dangerous. However, Carter is able to win their trust and begins to teach them basic Earth concepts like fractions and the alphabet. Meanwhile, a conflict arises between the children and the Tutor, revealing that the machine is programmed to be overly controlling and punitive. As SG-1 tries to help the children, they must grapple with ethical questions about the limits of artificial intelligence and human responsibility.
