Ep 18. Serpent's Song

SG-1 encounters Apophis, who has suffered a mortal wound and needs their help. They are hesitant at first, considering he is responsible for countless atrocities, but soon realize that his death could lead to far greater consequences, as his former underling Heru'ur is poised to take control of his vast domain. Apophis offers them a deal. In exchange for their help, he will reveal to them valuable information about his enemies. They agree, and as they try to smuggle Apophis back to Earth through the Stargate, they encounter unforeseen obstacles and betrayals, including from some unlikely sources. Once safely back on Earth, they discover that Apophis' knowledge could be invaluable in ensuring their survival, but could also have unforeseeable consequences. As they try to navigate this treacherous new territory, they are constantly reminded that in the world of intergalactic politics, trust is a precious commodity that can never be taken for granted.
