Watch Star Wars Resistance

Star Wars Resistance is an animated television series that premiered on Disney Channel in the United States in 2018. The show takes place in the Star Wars universe, in between the events of the films The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, and follows a new character named Kazuda Xiono.

Kazuda, or Kaz for short, is a young pilot who is recruited by the Resistance to spy on the First Order. He is sent to the Colossus, a huge refueling station on the planet Castilon, and tasked with gathering intelligence about the First Order's activities there. Kaz quickly makes friends with some of the locals, including the quirky mechanic Tam Ryvora, the fierce pilot Hype Fazon, and the kindly bartender and former Rebel fighter Jarek Yeager.

As Kaz tries to blend in with the Colossus community and gather information about the First Order's plans, he finds himself getting drawn into all sorts of adventures and battles. He teams up with the resident alien character Neeku Vozo, who has a childlike curiosity about the galaxy, and learns how to fly in a variety of spacecraft, from the speedy racing ships used in the Aces competition to the clunky transports favored by the pirates who sometimes attack the Colossus.

The show's first season introduces a number of recurring villains, including the sinister First Order agent Commander Pyre, the brutish bounty hunter Teroj Kee, and the flamboyant pirate captain Kragan Gorr. There are also plenty of appearances by familiar Star Wars characters, including Poe Dameron (voiced by Oscar Isaac), who serves as Kaz's mentor, and General Leia Organa (voiced by Carolyn Hennesy), who appears in hologram form.

One of the big draws of Star Wars Resistance is its stunning animation. The show uses a unique anime-inspired style that gives the characters a distinctive look and feel. The Colossus itself is rendered with incredible detail, from the neon lights of the shops and bars to the bustling crowds of aliens and droids.

The show's second season ups the ante even further, as Kaz and his friends discover that the First Order has a secret base on the nearby planet of Aeos Prime. They team up with a group of Resistance fighters led by the skilled pilot Norath Kev to launch a daring mission to take down the base and prevent the First Order from using it to create a deadly new weapon.

Along the way, the characters face all sorts of challenges and setbacks. Kaz and Tam's friendship is tested as Tam becomes increasingly disillusioned with the Resistance's goals and starts to sympathize with the First Order. Neeku falls under the spell of the mysterious Chelidae, a group of wise turtles who claim to have answers to the galaxy's biggest questions. And Jarek Yeager's past catches up with him in the form of his estranged daughter, who wants nothing to do with him or his dangerous lifestyle.

Throughout it all, Star Wars Resistance remains a thrilling and entertaining adventure that will delight fans of all ages. Whether you're a diehard Star Wars fanatic or just someone who wants to watch a fun and exciting animated show, this series is definitely worth checking out.
