Ep 19. Rise

After experiencing a harrowing encounter with a powerful spatial distortion, the crew of USS Voyager encounters a Delta Quadrant race known as the Varro who seek their help with an issue on their generational ship. The ship is damaged and they need assistance to repair and restore the ship's systems.The captain of the Varro, Jippeq, requests help in repairing their ship and soon offers Neelix a job to aid the Varro in their travels. Neelix, eager to leave Voyager for a while, accepts the offer and explains to the captain that he'll need to tell the captain of the Voyager, Captain Janeway before leaving.

Meanwhile, Ensign Vorik is experiencing difficulties controlling his Vulcan pon farr, a biological and hormonal imbalance that can cause great emotional instability, leading to violent outbursts and impairment of judgement. Tuvok is trying to help Vorik to control the situation, but it's not easy.

As the Varro and Neelix begin working on the repairs, things take a turn for the worse when it is discovered that the Varro's biomass processor, a vital component of their ship, is causing radiation damage. The captain of the Varro recruits Neelix to help find a solution.

Back on Voyager, Tuvok suggests that he and Vorik go to the holodeck to work through his pon farr. They do so, but soon discover that they are not alone. Another crew member, as well as a mesomorphic alien, are also on the holodeck, and Tuvok must quickly figure out what is going on before Vorik suffers the consequences of his condition.

Meanwhile, on the Varro ship, Neelix and the team work to find a solution to the biomass processor. After conducting multiple experiments and countless hours of work, they finally come up with a solution. The team begins to implement the solution, but as time progresses, they notice they are running low on supplies and the situation becomes dire.

As the news reaches Voyager, they also discover that Neelix is in trouble and may even be in grave danger. The crew of Voyager ensues a desperate search for their beloved crew member, and it is up to the team to find a way to save Neelix once and for all.

Throughout the episode, the themes of teamwork, loyalty, and overcoming adversity are all evident. The crew is forced to work together to solve complex problems, and the individual strengths and talents of each member are highlighted. In the end, the team's grit and determination lead to a successful conclusion, and Neelix returns to Voyager unscathed.
