Ep 24. Preemptive Strike

Ensign Ro Laren, a Bajoran officer, joins the Maquis, a group of rebels fighting against the Cardassians, who have been forcibly relocating Federation colonists from their homes. Captain Picard sends Commander Riker undercover to find and stop Ro and her fellow rebels before they can inflict any damage. However, Riker sympathizes with Ro's plight and begins to question whether the Federation's policies are just. Meanwhile, the Cardassians are planning a preemptive strike against the Maquis, which could lead to a full-blown war. Can Picard and his crew find a way to prevent an all-out conflict while also protecting Federation interests?
