Ep 4. Relics

Scotty, the engineer from the original Enterprise, is discovered in a crashed shuttle. He is brought on board the Enterprise-D and introduces himself to the crew. During the tour of the ship, Scotty learns that much has changed in the intervening years and it becomes apparent that he struggles to adapt to the technological advancements that have been made. When the ship is threatened by a vortex, Scotty’s knowledge becomes invaluable in saving the crew. Meanwhile, Geordi and Scotty form a bond as they work together to solve a critical engineering crisis, leading Geordi to reconsider his own place in the Enterprise-D crew.
