In Star Trek: Enterprise season 2 episode 8 titled "The Communicator," the crew of the Enterprise find themselves stranded on a pre-warp planet after a routine mission to gather information on a new species goes awry.
When Captain Archer and Lieutenant Reed are caught trying to retrieve a confiscated communicator, they are forced to improvise and pose as trading partners in order to avoid detection by the planet's inhabitants.
As they try to locate the communicator and make their escape back to the Enterprise, the crew discovers that the planet's government has a strict policy against outsiders and that they could face severe consequences if caught.
With tensions running high and time running out, Archer and Reed must rely on their wits and resourcefulness to outsmart their captors and retrieve the vital piece of technology before it falls into the wrong hands.
Meanwhile, back on the Enterprise, Commander Tucker and Sub-Commander T'Pol struggle to maintain the ship's cover as they wait for their stranded crewmates to return while keeping a wary eye on the planet's military and their own limited resources.
As the clock ticks down and the stakes grow higher, the crew of the Enterprise must work together to overcome the obstacles before them and make it back to the safety of their ship. Will they be able to reclaim the missing communicator and avoid detection by the planet's government, or will they be stranded on the planet forever? Tune in to find out in "The Communicator."
