Ep 20. Oasis

As the twentieth episode of Star Trek: Enterprise's first season, "Oasis" takes the crew of the NX-01 Enterprise on a mission to investigate a distress signal from an automated subspace relay. The signal, surprisingly, leads them to a lush planet that appears to be much like Earth in its distant past, complete with lush greenery, waterfalls, and quaint cottages.

As Captain Jonathan Archer and his team land on the planet, they are greeted by a pair of scientists who are attempting to resurrect a long-dead civilization that once inhabited the planet. The scientists, an elderly couple named Eulora and Tanis, explain that they have discovered the ruins of a city on the planet, and have been working to restore the whole place to its former glory.

However, it soon becomes apparent that not everything is as it seems. While the planet and the city may appear idyllic, there are dangerous secrets lurking just beneath the surface. The crew of the Enterprise soon discovers that Eulora and Tanis, in their quest to restore the city, have unleashed a dangerous force that threatens not only themselves, but also the crew of the Enterprise and their ship.

As they delve deeper into the secrets of the planet, Archer and his crew find themselves drawn into a conflict that has been simmering for centuries. They must confront the ghostly remnants of the ancient civilization, and make a dangerous decision about whether to abandon the planet to its fate, or to try and save it from destruction.

"Oasis" is a classic Star Trek episode, full of adventure, danger, and exploration. It offers a glimpse into the rich history of the Star Trek universe, as well as a chance to see the Enterprise crew in action as they navigate a world that is both familiar and alien. Through its intricate plot and well-crafted characters, "Oasis" showcases the best of what Star Trek has to offer, and will leave audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end.
