Description
SS-GB is a captivating BBC One miniseries that premiered in February 2017. The show features an alternate history where Nazi Germany won the Battle of Britain and is currently occupying England in the year 1941. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Len Deighton, and has been adapted for the screen by the esteemed writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who also happen to be the screenwriters for James Bond movies like Skyfall and Casino Royale.
Sam Riley plays the character of Detective Douglas Archer, a man caught between the Nazi occupiers and the British Resistance, who are seeking to overthrow their oppressors. Archer is a skilled detective who begins to question his own loyalty as he investigates a murder in a world where loyalty to the Reich is essential for survival.
