Gary In Love: SpongeBob is leaving for work when he sees that Gary is watching a soap opera of his favorite show. He finds it funny since he thought that only humans could watch TV or be interested in soap operas. As SpongeBob leaves, Gary tells him he wants to go out and meet a girl. That evening, Gary goes to a snail park to meet other snails where he meets a snail named Mary. Gary and Mary hit it off and Gary begins to fall in love with Mary.
However, their love story isn't as easy as it seems. Mary's owner, an old lady, does not appreciate Gary's love for Mary. She interrupts their moments together by pouring salt on Gary as snails are known to be sensitive to salt. Because of this, Gary becomes terrified of the thought of salt and goes to hide in SpongeBob's house. After seeing Gary in such a state, SpongeBob tries to look for a solution to Gary's problem. After several failed attempts, SpongeBob and Patrick try to make a fake snail to take Mary's owner's attention away from Gary.
One Coarse Meal: In this episode, Plankton tries to use a new tactic to steal the formula for the Krabby Patty. He subjects Mr. Krabs to a ghostly simulation of a feared monster that scares Mr. Krabs to the point that he develops a fear of Plankton. Plankton uses this fear to his advantage and blackmails Mr. Krabs into giving him the formula for the Krabby Patty by using a holographic projection of himself wearing a Krab suit. However, after Mr. Krabs finally hands over the formula, Plankton realizes that he cannot bring himself to use it because the formula is his ultimate goal and without it, he doesn't know what to do with himself.
Overall, these two episodes are among the charming, humorous, and entertaining SpongeBob SquarePants episodes. With Gary In Love showcasing the unwavering friendship between SpongeBob and Gary, and One Coarse Meal marking an intriguing battle of wits between Plankton and Mr. Krabs. Their unique storylines, coupled with the show's signature brand of lighthearted humor, make them a must-watch for any fan of SpongeBob SquarePants.
