SpongeBob, unaware of Plankton's deceit, is horrified when he finds out that Stanley has been helping Plankton all along. He confronts Stanley, but Stanley is too caught up in the idea of becoming a hero to listen to him.

Through a series of hilarious misadventures, SpongeBob and Stanley eventually come to a resolution. In the end, Stanley learns the importance of honesty and realizes that being a hero isn't about doing something for personal gain, but about doing the right thing for others.
