SpongeBob and Patrick are horrified by what their actions have caused, and Plankton feels guilty for creating such a destructive pet. The trio decides to try and fix the situation by building a brand new park. They work tirelessly for hours, and the new park is finally complete. However, when they take Spot to the new park, he immediately begins causing destruction once again.
As the chaos unfolds, SpongeBob, Patrick, and Plankton realize that they cannot control Spot, and they begin to feel guilty for unleashing such destruction upon their home. They come to the conclusion that they must return Spot to his creator and destroy the Petri-fier once and for all.
The episode ends with SpongeBob, Patrick, and Plankton destroying the Petri-fier and returning Spot to Plankton's laboratory. Plankton realizes that he had been blinded by his own desire for companionship and decides to focus on his true passion, running the Chum Bucket. SpongeBob and Patrick leave the Chum Bucket, reflecting on the chaos they had caused but happy to have learned a valuable lesson.
