Ep 1. Squidward, The Unfriendly Ghost

SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward have always been close friends, but when Squidward starts acting strange, SpongeBob and Patrick suspect that something is wrong. They soon discover that Squidward has been haunted by a ghost, and they decide to help him confront the spirit.

The episode begins with Squidward reluctantly agreeing to house-sit for his grandmother's estate on the outskirts of Bikini Bottom. As soon as he arrives, he begins to feel uneasy, sensing that something isn't quite right. From the creaky old mansion to the overgrown garden to the waves crashing against the rocky shore, everything seems to be working against him.

As the night wears on, Squidward becomes more and more agitated, convinced that he is not alone in the house. Strange noises echo through the halls, and he catches glimpses of shadowy figures moving in the darkness. He tries to convince himself that it's just his imagination, but deep down, he knows that there is something else in the house with him.

Meanwhile, SpongeBob and Patrick become worried when they realize that Squidward has gone missing. They decide to go check on him at the mansion, even though Squidward had asked them not to. When they arrive, they find the mansion in complete disarray, with furniture toppled over and objects scattered about. They hear strange noises coming from upstairs and follow the sounds to find Squidward cowering in a corner, completely spooked.

SpongeBob and Patrick try to calm Squidward down and reassure him that they're there to protect him, but the ghostly presence in the house only seems to be getting stronger. They decide to investigate and split up, with SpongeBob and Patrick going one way and Squidward going another.

As Squidward makes his way through the haunted house, he sees more and more evidence of the ghostly presence, everything from flickering lights to mysterious footprints in the dust. He eventually finds himself in a room that feels colder than the rest, with a faint glow emanating from the corner. When he investigates, he discovers that the ghost is none other than his own reflection in a haunted mirror.

Squidward is initially terrified of his own reflection, but then he realizes that he can communicate with the "ghost" and even control it. He decides to use his new power to prank SpongeBob and Patrick, scaring them with his ghostly image and making them think that the mansion is truly haunted. However, his plan backfires when the joke goes too far and he ends up scaring himself.

In the end, SpongeBob and Patrick manage to rescue Squidward from the haunted house and help him overcome his fear of ghosts. They all go out for some well-deserved Krabby Patties and decide that the mansion is best left to the ghosts. But Squidward is left with a newfound respect for the power of fear and the challenge of facing it head-on.
