In "SUPER HARD PCness", the ninth episode of season 21 of South Park, the citizens of the titular town have reached a breaking point in their attempts to navigate the complicated world of political correctness. In an effort to combat the constant need to be "PC", a new movement arises, threatening to change South Park forever.
As the episode begins, we see a montage of characters desperately trying to navigate the ever-changing landscape of what is considered "appropriate" to say and do. The South Park police department holds a town meeting to discuss how to deal with the issue, but their plans seem futile in the face of the often conflicting and confusing rules of PC speech.
Meanwhile, the town's men gather to form their own movement, which they believe will help them to fight the PC culture. Dubbed the "M.A.C." (Men's Association for Cultural Tolerance), the group quickly becomes a symbol of resistance to the idea of political correctness.
At first, the M.A.C. seems to be a success. The group gains a substantial following, and they are soon seen marching through the streets with their own slogan: "It's okay to be a man." However, as the group gains more power, they become more extreme in their beliefs, leading to a schism between the members that threatens to tear them apart from within.
Meanwhile, the women of South Park are dealing with their own drama. As the men of the town become more emboldened in their anti-PC stance, the women are starting to feel left out and isolated. They begin to rally around a group of feminists who are at odds with the M.A.C., sparking a battle of the sexes that threatens to tear the town apart.
Throughout the episode, there are a number of references to real-world issues related to political correctness and gender. For example, the M.A.C. is shown protesting against a statue of a Confederate soldier, a clear nod to the ongoing controversy surrounding Confederate monuments in the United States.
By the end of the episode, it becomes clear that there is no easy solution to the problem of political correctness in South Park. While some characters have found a way to at least temporarily overcome the issue, others are left feeling disillusioned and out of place in the town they once called home.
Overall, "SUPER HARD PCness" is a poignant commentary on the current state of political correctness and its impact on society. The episode is both humorous and thought-provoking, presenting viewers with a complex issue and allowing them to draw their own conclusions about the best way to navigate this complicated world.
