Ep 15. The Rainy Day

Sooty season 2 episode 15, titled "The Rainy Day", begins on a dreary day in the park where Sooty, Sweep, and Soo are trying to find ways to enjoy themselves despite the wet weather. Sooty comes up with a plan to build a shelter using a tarpaulin and some sticks, but the wind keeps knocking it down. They then try playing games, but they can't find anywhere dry enough to play.

As they are about to give up hope of having any fun, they hear a phone ringing. It turns out to be Richard, their human friend, who is stuck at home because of the rain. He suggests they come over to his house and play some games indoors. The gang excitedly runs over to Richard's house, but when they arrive, they find that Richard has lost power due to the storm.

Undeterred, they decide to try and make the best of the situation and use Richard's camping gear to create an indoor camping experience. They set up tents in the living room and cook their dinner over a camping stove. However, things start to go wrong when the stove causes a small fire, and they accidentally set off the smoke alarm, causing chaos.

As they deal with the fire and try to calm down the smoke alarm, they come up with a new idea to keep themselves entertained. They decide to put on a puppet show, with Sooty and Sweep taking on the starring roles. Soo helps Richard with the backstage props while the boys perform for an imaginary audience.

The puppet show is a success, and everyone is having a great time until they run out of ideas. They start to feel bummed, but then Richard suggests playing board games. The group quickly gets a few games out, and the fun continues. As they play, they learn new things about each other and have a great time despite the weather.

As they start to wind down, Richard suggests they put on a talent show for each other. Everyone is a little hesitant at first, but they eventually warm up to the idea. Soo sings a song, Sweep does a dance, and Sooty does some magic tricks. Richard closes out the show with a song, and everyone is thoroughly entertained.

As the day winds down, Sooty, Sweep, and Soo realize that they've had a great day despite the rain. They head back home, tired but happy, knowing that they've made the best of a bad situation.
