In the twelfth episode of the fourth season of Sons of Anarchy titled Burnt and Purged Away, the tension in Charming reaches a boiling point. As the investigation into RICO gathers steam, the club's leaders must make a tough decision about their future.
Jax has a plan to get his club out of the gun business for good, but it involves making a deal with the devil. Clay is skeptical of his stepson's plan, but Jax is confident that this is the only way to ensure the survival of SAMCRO.
Meanwhile, Tara is forced to make a difficult choice of her own. She knows that Jax's lifestyle puts their family in danger, and the recent events have only confirmed her worst fears. But she loves Jax and doesn't want to abandon him or their children. She confides in Gemma, who tries to convince her to stay with the club and fight for her family.
As the tension mounts, the Sons face new threats from all directions. The Irish have come to Charming with a new deal that could save SAMCRO from the RICO investigation, but it comes with a high cost. The Chinese are also looking to expand their territory and have their eyes on Charming as well.
With so many threats looming, Jax must make a choice about the future of his club. Will he stay the course and continue down the path of violence and in-fighting, or will he find a way to make peace with his enemies and carve out a new future for SAMCRO?
As the season rushes towards its explosive conclusion, Burnt and Purged Away sets the stage for a brutal final showdown. Lives will be lost, loyalties will be tested, and the fate of the club will hang in the balance.
