Ep 12. Showdown in Space

Sonic X season 2 episode 12, titled "Showdown in Space," follows Sonic and his friends as they try to stop Eggman once again. In this episode, Eggman launches his newest weapon, the Egg Fort, into space with plans to destroy the planet. Sonic and his team must race against time to prevent this catastrophe.

Sonic, Amy, Cream, and Cheese are flying through space in the Blue Typhoon, chasing after Eggman's spacecraft, the Egg Fort II. Suddenly, they are confronted by a fleet of Eggman's robots that attack them. Sonic, being the quick thinker he is, dons his new spacesuit and leaps out of the Blue Typhoon to take on the robots in an epic midair battle.

After Sonic takes out the robots, Eggman appears on their screen and challenges Sonic to a one-on-one battle in his Egg Fort II. Sonic accepts the challenge, and the two ships dock with each other. Sonic and Eggman confront each other, and Eggman reveals his ultimate weapon, the Hyper Metal Sonic.

Hyper Metal Sonic is a robotic clone of Sonic with incredible strength and agility, and Eggman plans to use him to defeat Sonic once and for all. Sonic, however, is not so easily defeated. The two engage in an intense battle, each trying to gain the upper hand.

Meanwhile, Knuckles and Rouge infiltrate the Egg Fort II to try and stop the weapon from destroying the planet. They discover that Eggman has already programmed the Egg Fort II to launch missiles at their homeworld, and they must find a way to disable them.

Back in the battle between Sonic and Eggman, Sonic seems to have the upper hand until Hyper Metal Sonic appears. The two Sonics engage in a fierce fight, with Hyper Metal Sonic seeming to gain the upper hand. Just when all seems lost, Tails arrives in his new spacecraft, the X-Tornado, to help out.

The X-Tornado is equipped with a powerful weapon that can take down even the Egg Fort II. Tails fires the weapon, but Eggman is able to dodge it and charges back at Sonic. Sonic dodges the attack and lands a finishing blow on Eggman's craft, destroying it and defeating Eggman once again.

With Eggman defeated, Knuckles and Rouge are able to disarm the missiles and save the planet from destruction. The gang returns to Earth, where they celebrate their victory and look forward to their next adventure.

"Showdown in Space" is a thrilling episode of Sonic X that is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With intense battles, high stakes, and plenty of action, it is a great addition to the series and a must-watch for any Sonic fan.
