Watch Soft Sand, Blue Sea

A British drama of two children, David 13 and Danielle 10, who form a close friendship. The two of them reside in a children's home and feel that all they have is each other. They are not really true orphans in the sense that both just have parents who just don't seem interested in raising children and tend to forget about their existence. They come up with a grand plan to escape and find the seashore. They make the long trek together and it is this journey and the aftermath that forms the basis for this poignant and thought-provoking story.
