Ep 20. Megan Hargan

Megan Hargan, a resident of Virginia, was a 27-year-old woman who had a lot of potential. She was ambitious and driven, but things weren't going her way. Megan lived with her mother, who had recently undergone a divorce. Her mother, Pamela, was devastated by the divorce and decided to move in with Megan and her boyfriend, Stephen. While initially everything seemed to be going well, tensions began to rise as Pamela's ex-husband started to reach out to her, causing a great deal of stress.

Megan had always been interested in medicine and had aspirations of attending medical school. However, things weren't going as planned. First, she failed to get accepted into any medical school, and then an internship offer was rescinded after a background check. All of this added to her stress, and she began to drink, becoming an alcoholic.

Megan's personality began to change as she became more dependent on alcohol. She became increasingly confrontational with her mother and boyfriend. Her boyfriend, Stephen, had enough of Megan's confrontational nature and pushed her to move out. Megan was forced to move in with her father, who later discovered that she was an alcoholic.

Megan's life began to spiral out of control. She lost contact with many of her friends, lost her job, and continued to drink heavily. Her mother and sister tried to help her but had no success. Eventually, Megan moved back in with her mother and her boyfriend, but the living situation had become unbearable.

One morning, Pamela and her boyfriend, who had been staying at the house, were found dead. Both of them had been shot in their beds. Initially, investigators had no leads, but later discovered that Megan was shopping for a gun the day before the murders, and that she had been on a drunken bender the night of the incident.

The police started to piece together what had happened on the night of the murder. They discovered that Megan had been drinking heavily and had gotten into an argument with her mother and her boyfriend. During the argument, Megan grabbed a gun and fatally shot both her mother and her boyfriend. She then fled the scene and attempted to alter the crime scene to make it look like a robbery.

Megan was eventually arrested and charged with the double homicide. During her trial, her defense argued that the murders were not premeditated, but rather the result of an argument that got out of control due to Megan's alcoholism. They also argued that Megan had suffered from mental health issues, which had been exacerbated by her drinking.
