In season 30, episode 6 of Snapped, viewers are introduced to Lori Isenberg, a woman who moved to Idaho to start a new life with her husband, Larry, and their two children. Lori quickly became involved in the local community, finding work with a non-profit organization that provided mental health services to the area.
As an executive director of this organization, Lori had access to significant funds, but it wasn't long before rumors began to circulate of financial mismanagement. Despite these allegations, Lori continued to work and was even promoted to the position of interim director.
However, things took a dramatic turn in February of 2018 when Larry Isenberg was found floating in the waters of Lake Coeur d'Alene. At first, it was believed to be a tragic accident, but evidence soon came to light that suggested foul play.
The investigation ultimately revealed that Lori had been involved in a complex financial scheme that siphoned off funds from the non-profit organization she worked for and involved several fraudulent bank accounts. When Larry began to question her about the missing money, Lori allegedly poisoned him with a lethal dose of Benadryl and threw him overboard in an attempt to cover up her wrongdoing.
Despite her attempts to evade justice, Lori was ultimately brought to trial and convicted of Larry's murder. The episode serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of ethical behavior in both personal and professional life, and the devastating consequences that can arise if one chooses to act otherwise.
