In episode 6 of season 29 of the true crime series Snapped, viewers are taken into the case of Karen Clowers. Karen was once a devoted wife and mother living in the small town of Farmville, Virginia. However, her life took a dark turn when she began an affair with a man named Harrison "Boo" Sellers.
As their relationship progressed, Karen became increasingly jealous and possessive of Boo. She started harassing him and his family, and even went as far as to vandalize his car and house. Things took a truly dark turn when Karen hired two hitmen to kill Boo's wife, Peggy, and his stepson, Paul.
The hitmen carried out the murders in March 2016 and were eventually caught and convicted. Karen was charged with capital murder and conspiracy to commit murder. She was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Throughout the episode, viewers will hear from investigators on the case, as well as family members of the victims and Karen herself. They will explore the complexities of Karen's character and try to understand what drove her to such a heinous act.
As with all episodes of Snapped, this one delves deep into the human psyche and examines the motives behind a terrible crime. It is a gripping and emotional journey that will leave viewers questioning the depths of human darkness and the lengths some will go for love and obsession.
