In season 21, episode 11 of Snapped, we follow the chilling case of Eric Copple as he spiraled out of control, leading to the death of his wife, Kandi. From the outside, the couple seemed to have it all, but things started to unravel when Kandi discovered that Eric had been abusing their daughter.
Kandi immediately filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order against Eric, but he refused to let her go. Despite her efforts to move on with her life and protect her children, Kandi found herself living in fear of Eric's erratic behavior. In one instance, he drove his car into the family's home, causing thousands of dollars in damages and terrifying his wife and children.
As Eric's behavior escalated, Kandi turned to law enforcement for help, but she was met with roadblocks and a lack of action. Frustrated and feeling hopeless, Kandi eventually tried to flee the state with her children to escape Eric's abuse.
