As the days go by, T.J.'s confidence drops, as he is continuously teased by his classmates. His sister tries to comfort him, but T.J. doesn't want to back out of the bet and risk losing face. T.J.'s father also tries to encourage him, but T.J. is too embarrassed to tell him about the bet.

In the end, T.J. learns an important lesson about staying true to oneself and not risking embarrassment just to fit in. He realizes that his intelligence and unique personality are his greatest strengths and decides to embrace them. T.J. ultimately ends up winning the bet, but it's a hollow victory as he learns that true confidence and style come from within and cannot be bought or faked.
