Ep 20. Noir

"Noir" is the twentieth episode of the sixth season of the hit TV show "Smallville." In this episode, Lana Lang, played by actress Kristin Kreuk, gets locked in a film noir-style alternate reality where she is a femme fatale and Clark Kent, played by actor Tom Welling, is a hard-boiled detective.

Lana finds herself in a world where all of the main characters from Smallville are living completely different lives. Lex Luthor, played by Michael Rosenbaum, is a casino owner, Chloe Sullivan, played by Allison Mack, is a nightclub singer, and Lana's friend Jimmy Olsen, played by Aaron Ashmore, is a photographer.

Things take a turn for the worse when Lana finds out that she is being pursued by a dangerous mobster named Frank, who believes she is responsible for stealing a valuable necklace. She turns to Clark for help, and together they set out to try and solve the mystery of who really stole the necklace.

As the two delve deeper into the gritty underworld of the alternate reality, they begin to unravel a web of lies, corruption, and deception. The case takes them to the seedy underworld of Metropolis, where they meet new characters such as a crooked cop named Maggie Sawyer and a slippery informant named Otis.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, Clark tries to find a way to get Lana out of the alternate reality and back to the real world. He enlists the help of Chloe and Jimmy, who use their computer hacking skills to try and hack into the machinery behind the alternate reality. This leads to a race against time to try and save Lana before it's too late.

Overall, "Noir" is a thrilling and suspenseful episode of "Smallville." It blends together elements of film noir and superhero storytelling to create a unique and engrossing story. The alternate reality setting allows for the show's characters to shine in new and unexpected ways, and the mystery surrounding the stolen necklace keeps the audience on the edge of their seats.
