Clark is back in Smallville for another season of action and adventure in a world where superpowers are real and danger lurks just around the corner. In season 6 episode 2, titled "Sneeze", Clark discovers a new power that could threaten his friendship with Chloe and his relationship with all those he holds dear.
As the episode begins, Clark is struggling to control his powers in the wake of his recent near-death experience. He's able to run faster than ever before, leap higher than any human should be able to, and even see through walls and other solid objects. But with each new ability comes greater responsibility, and Clark finds himself constantly battling to keep his powers in check.
At the same time, Chloe is dealing with some heavy personal issues of her own. She's still reeling from the death of her father, and her grief is making it hard for her to stay focused on her job as a reporter for the Daily Planet. When a new story falls into her lap, Chloe sees it as a chance to regain some of her lost sense of purpose.
But when Clark sneezes, everything changes. His sneeze is so powerful that it launches him into the air and sends him crashing to the ground, creating a huge crater in the process. As he struggles to regain his footing, Clark realizes that he's just discovered a new power: the ability to release a powerful burst of air from his lungs.
At first, Clark sees this as an exciting new development in his superhero career. He enlists Chloe's help in testing out his new power, and together the two of them attempt to do some good with it. They use the gusts of air to put out a fire, save a trapped kitten, and even help a stranded motorist change a tire.
But as Clark's power grows stronger and more unpredictable, he begins to realize that it might not be such a good thing after all. His bursts of air are becoming more intense, and whenever he gets angry or upset, it's all too easy for him to accidentally let loose with a devastating gust of wind. And when Lana Lang shows up in town, Clark realizes that he can't control his emotions around her, putting her in danger.
With his friends and loved ones at risk, Clark decides that he needs to find a way to get his powers under control. He enlists the help of his mentor Jor-El, who gives him a new challenge to master. But even with Jor-El's guidance, Clark struggles to rein in his new power and keep his friends safe.
As the episode comes to a close, Clark finally learns to control his sneezing power. He's able to use it for good without putting anyone in danger, and he even discovers a new way to use it to help people. But the experience has left him shaken, and he begins to realize that his powers are more unpredictable than he ever could have imagined. Overall, Smallville season 6 episode 2 "Sneeze" is a thrilling and action-packed ride that shows Clark struggling to deal with the consequences of his ever-growing powers, while also exploring the deeper emotions of grief, love, and loss that drive the show's characters forward.
