Ep 18. Progeny

Clark, Chloe, Lois, and Jimmy investigate the murder of a man who was seemingly killed by a meteor freak. As they dig deeper, they discover that the person responsible for the murder is a young girl named Maddie who has the ability to control the weather. Maddie is being held captive by her stepfather who is also a meteor freak and is using her powers to make money by creating weather disasters for people to pay him to stop.

Meanwhile, Lana returns to Smallville after being away for several months and Clark is thrilled to see her again. However, their reunion is short-lived as Lana confesses that she is pregnant and unsure of who the father is. Lana suspects that it may be Clark but is unsure as she had been intimate with both Clark and Lex before leaving Smallville.

As Clark tries to process the news, he becomes more determined to stop Maddie's stepfather and rescue her. With the help of Chloe and Jimmy, Clark is able to locate Maddie and free her from captivity. Maddie is grateful to Clark for saving her and vows to use her powers for good.

As the episode comes to a close, Lana leaves Smallville once again in search of answers about her pregnancy and Clark is left to ponder the possibility that he could be a father. The episode ends with a surprising cliffhanger that leaves viewers on the edge of their seats, wondering what will happen next.
