It's another day in Smallville and Clark is struggling with balancing his life as a high school student and a superhero. But his problems get more complicated when Alicia Baker, the new girl in school, takes a fancy to him and starts to behave unsettlingly. While Clark is busy dealing with Alicia, Lex develops a mysterious illness that sees him slowly lose control of his mind and memory.
Clark is approached by Jodi, a former student of Smallville High who has returned as a substitute teacher.
