Ep 7. Jinx

Clark Kent is back in action once again as he stands front and center in the spotlight for the seventh episode of Smallville's fourth season, "Jinx," where his powers get the better of him as he tries to take control of them.

In this episode, we witness Clark discovering that the latest high school sensation, an underdog athlete named Katie, bears the same superhuman abilities as Clark and can move objects with her mind. Meanwhile, Clark is trying to teach Katie how to control her abilities without causing harm to herself or those around her, but it's easier said than done. After a failed attempt, Clark and Katie realize she is more powerful than Clark and can do much more with her abilities than just moving objects around her.

As Clark is facing challenges mentoring Katie, Chloe Sullivan is given a chance to reconcile with the editor of the Daily Planet, while Jonathan and Martha Kent receive a visit from their estranged relative who is secretly plotting against their family.

As the episode progresses, the group behind the LuthorCorp plant reveal themselves, and their ultimate plan to take over LuthorCorp and turn the world on its head is revealed. It is up to the duo of Clark and Katie to stand up against this formidable force and prevent them from causing harm to the people around them.

As the episode culminates, Clark finally helps Katie gain control over her powers through his mentorship, and this newfound control combined with her skills makes Katie a shining star as she emerges as a superstar athlete in the high school sports team. But will this newfound fame make her a target for the seedy forces that are emerging around them?
