Clark Kent, a teenage boy with superhuman abilities, continues to navigate his way through high school while keeping his true identity a secret from his friends and family in Smallville season 3 episode 3, titled "Extinction."
As the episode begins, Smallville is hit with a series of strange power outages that seem to be caused by a group of tattooed, bald-headed aliens led by a menacing figure known as "Van McNulty."
