Lana Lang is abducted by Lionel Luthor and taken to his mansion. As she tries to escape, she overhears Lionel's conversation with Clark about a secret manuscript that holds the key to his family's past and the secret to Clark's powers. Meanwhile, Jason and his mother Genevieve return to Smallville with an entourage in tow, including a dangerous Frankenstein monster who escaped from LuthorCorp's labs. Finally, Clark and Lex's rivalry takes a deadly turn as they both desperately search for the Kryptonian manuscript.
