In the Skins season 3 episode 4 titled "Pandora", viewers are taken on a journey through the eyes of Pandora Moon. The episode starts off with Pandora struggling with her identity and feeling left out amongst her group of friends. Unlike the rest of her classmates, Pandora is into astrology, tarot cards, and other new-age spiritual practices. She feels like her friends don't understand her interests but they continue to make fun of her for them.
Pandora's mother is also an interesting character in this episode. She is an eccentric artist who is very much caught up in her own world, leaving Pandora feeling neglected. To make matters worse, Pandora's family is hosting a party that she doesn't want to attend. However, her mother insists that she invites her friends over to join the festivities.
Pandora decides to seize this opportunity to show her friends that her interests are worthwhile. She uses her tarot cards to predict the future for her friends and attempts to connect with them on a deeper level. Meanwhile, her mother's artwork is causing quite a stir amongst the adults at the party. Her installations are provocative and lead to some very interesting conversations between the characters.
Throughout the episode, there's a bit of a love triangle brewing between Pandora, her best friend Thomas, and his girlfriend, Katie. Thomas, who has been acting as Pandora's confidant throughout the episode, is also trying to make sense of his complicated feelings towards her while also trying to keep his relationship with Katie afloat.
As the episode progresses, it becomes clear that Pandora's actions have consequences. One of her predictions starts to come true, leading to a shocking revelation that will have far-reaching implications for the group as a whole.
Overall, Skins season 3 episode 4 is a compelling exploration of identity, relationships, and the consequences of our actions. The episode is driven by strong performances from the cast, particularly from Pandora herself who is played brilliantly by Lisa Backwell. Anyone who has ever felt like they don't quite fit in will certainly be able to relate to her struggles. The unique blend of humor, drama, and supernatural elements makes this episode a standout in the series.
