Ep 6. Naomi

Naomi, the sixth episode of the third season of Skins, focuses on the character of Naomi Campbell, played by Lily Loveless. Naomi is a smart, ambitious and outspoken student, who is openly gay and proud of her identity. Her girlfriend, Emily, is also a student at Roundview College, and the two of them are very much in love.

Naomi's state of mind deteriorates further when she finds out that her father is coming to visit. Naomi and her father have a strained relationship, as he left her mother years ago for another woman. Naomi resents him for abandoning the family, and she is angry that he has suddenly decided to show up.

Meanwhile, Emily is worried about Naomi and feels that she is being shut out. She confides in Naomi's stepsister, Effy, who tells her that Naomi is going through a tough time. Emily decides to seek advice from Naomi's philosophy teacher, John T. Foster. She asks him for guidance on how to help Naomi with her studies and her personal issues.

John T. Foster is a controversial character, who is rumoured to have a relationship with one of his students. He tells Emily that he can help Naomi, but in order to do so, he needs to spend time alone with her. Emily is hesitant but agrees to the plan, as she believes that John T. Foster can help Naomi.

As Naomi spends more time with John T. Foster, she begins to confide in him about her problems. He listens and offers her advice, but Naomi becomes increasingly uncomfortable with the situation. She starts to feel that John T. Foster is manipulating her, and she decides to distance herself from him.

In the final scenes of the episode, Naomi confronts Emily about her involvement with John T. Foster. She is angry and hurt that Emily would betray her trust. Emily tries to explain that she was only trying to help, but Naomi is too hurt to listen. The episode ends with Naomi walking away from Emily, feeling alone and isolated.
