Ep 9. Thanksgiving in Hawaii (1)

Tia and Tamera's family makes plans to spend Thanksgiving in Hawaii. Lisa, the girls' mother, is excited to show them all around the island and have some fun in the sun. However, things don't go exactly as planned when the airline loses their luggage and their hotel is overbooked. The family ends up staying at a run-down motel with not much else to do than play a dwindling game of cards and talk about how things could have gone better. Even when they finally make it to the beach, the fun doesn't last long as it begins to rain, forcing them to go back to their motel. Despite all of this, they manage to make the best of a bad situation and have a Thanksgiving dinner with what little they have, as they reflect on what they're thankful for. The episode ends with the family gathered around the table, singing and being grateful for each other's company.
