Tia and Tamera Landry are identical twin sisters who were separated at birth. They accidentally bump into each other at a shopping mall and soon discover that they are sisters, leading to them reuniting with their birth mother and starting a new life together. In Sister, Sister season 3 episode 6 titled Twins Get Fired, Tia and Tamera have landed their first job at a restaurant named Rocket Burger. However, their excitement doesn't last long as they soon find themselves in hot water and on the verge of losing their jobs.
The episode begins with Tia and Tamera excitedly discussing their new job at Rocket Burger. They talk about their uniforms and the delicious burgers they can't wait to try. However, their enthusiasm is short-lived when they arrive at work and are met with a rather rude and unfriendly boss named Mr. Templeton. He assigns them several tasks to complete, including cleaning the grills and restocking supplies.
As they begin their tasks, Tia and Tamera struggle and make a few mistakes. However, Mr. Templeton is unforgiving and constantly scolds them for their errors. He even catches them trying to eat some leftover fries, which he strictly forbids. Tia and Tamera try their best to keep up with their duties, but the boss seems to be deliberately setting them up for failure.
Things quickly go from bad to worse when Tia accidentally drops a tray of burgers on the floor, causing a huge mess. Mr. Templeton storms over and demands that the twins clean up the mess immediately. As they try to clean up the food, they accidentally knock over a few cups of soda, making the situation even worse. Mr. Templeton reaches his limit and tells the girls that they are fired.
Tia and Tamera are devastated and can't believe that they have lost their first job. They are upset and feel humiliated as they exit the restaurant in tears. They soon run into their best friend, Roger, who is ecstatic to see them. Roger is always up for a good time and suggests they go bowling to cheer them up. However, the twins don't want to go out and would rather go home and sulk.
As they arrive home, Tia and Tamera run into their adoptive parents, Lisa and Ray. They can't keep their emotions in check and end up telling their parents that they got fired. Lisa and Ray try their best to console them and tell them that everyone makes mistakes and that they will find a new job soon. Tia and Tamera feel a bit better and hug their parents.
The following day, Tia and Tamera head back to Rocket Burger to pick up their last paycheck. As they approach the restaurant, they notice that it's closed for the day. However, there is a new sign indicating that Rocket Burger is now under new management. The girls are curious and wonder who the new owner is.
As they are about to walk away, a woman approaches them and introduces herself as the new owner of Rocket Burger. Her name is Mrs. Burundi and she seems really friendly. She informs the girls that she is looking for new staff and asks if they are interested in working for her. Tia and Tamera are hesitant at first, but Mrs. Burundi assures them that they will love working for her.
They decide to give Mrs. Burundi a chance and start working at Rocket Burger once again. They quickly realize that Mrs. Burundi is the complete opposite of Mr. Templeton and is very kind and patient. She even lets them sample some of the burgers and fries for free. Tia and Tamera are thrilled and feel like they have found the perfect boss.
As they work, Tia and Tamera realize that they have learned from their mistakes and are doing a much better job. Mrs. Burundi notices their improvement and even compliments them.
