Ep 2. Mike & Pat

Mike & Pat is the second episode of the second season of Simon & Simon, a detective series following the misadventures of two brothers, Rick and A.J. Simon, who run their private detective agency in San Diego, California.

The episode starts with Rick and A.J.'s latest client, Mike Darnell, showing up at their office after being run off the road and almost killed in a car accident. Meanwhile, Rick and A.J. continue their investigation into the logistics company. They uncover evidence that points to one of the employees, but they can't prove it. They decide to go undercover at the company to try to catch the saboteur in the act.

As they're preparing to go undercover, they receive a surprise visit from one of their old nemeses, Lt. Marcel Proust. Proust is an arrogant, by-the-book cop who thinks Rick and A.J. are a bunch of amateurs. He tells them that he's been assigned to investigate the logistics company sabotage case and warns them to stay out of it.

Rick and A.J. ignore Proust's warning and go undercover at the company. They find evidence that confirms their suspicions about the employee they suspected, and they finally catch him in the act of sabotaging a truck.

Meanwhile, Pat has found a woman to play the part of the ideal wife, and they're all set to pull off the scam. But as they're about to make their move, Rick and A.J. get a call from Mike Darnell. Mike has discovered who is behind the logistics company sabotage and wants to meet with Rick and A.J. to give them the information.

Rick and A.J. have to make a choice: stick with the scam and make some easy money, or drop everything and go after the person behind the sabotage. They choose to go after the saboteur, and they arrive just in time to stop him from blowing up a truck.

In the end, the Simon brothers solve the logistics company case and stop the saboteur from causing any more damage. They also turn Pat over to the police and help Mike Darnell wrap up his investigation.
