SideHero is an Indian web series that is a hilarious yet relatable take on the lives of character actors and extras in Bollywood. The series premiered on Eros Now in September 2018 and was a hit among its subscribers. The show centers around Kunal Kapur who plays Kamal, a struggling actor who has been in the industry for more than a decade. He is joined by two other actors who play his best friends and roommates Jimi (Gopal Datt) and Pandey (Akhilendra Mishra). Shakti Kapoor also appears in the show in a special guest appearance.

The series follows these three friends in their daily struggles as they attempt to get ahead in the industry. They take on small roles in films as extras and background actors, playing the role of trees, barrels and even ghosts. The show takes a lighthearted approach to the industry and does a great job of poking fun at the sometimes ridiculous antics of movie producers and directors.
