In season 49 episode 9 of Sesame Street, titled "Bath Time for Blankey," Elmo and Abby are having a playdate with their stuffed animals. But when they notice that Abby's stuffed rabbit, Rudy, is dirty, they decide to give him a bath. Elmo is excited to help out, but when Abby tells him that Blankey, her beloved security blanket, also needs a bath, Elmo gets worried. He knows how much Blankey means to Abby, and he doesn't want anything to happen to her precious possession.
Meanwhile, Cookie Monster is dealing with his own problem. He's trying to figure out how to resist his urge to eat all the cookies in his cookie jar. With the help of his friend Chris, he learns some self-control techniques, including counting to ten and taking deep breaths.
As Elmo and Abby get Blankey ready for his bath, they sing a silly song and make a game out of it. They pretend that Blankey is going on a wild adventure, and that the bath is a magical pool he needs to swim through. Elmo is hesitant at first, but when he sees how much fun Abby is having, he starts to enjoy himself too.
After the bath, Elmo and Abby realize that Blankey is still wet. They try to dry him off, but nothing seems to work. So they decide to take him on a journey around Sesame Street to help him dry faster. They visit different spots, including Big Bird's nest and the firehouse, and Blankey starts to feel dry and warm again.
Meanwhile, Cookie Monster is still struggling with his cookie addiction. He tries to distract himself by doing other things, like playing with his toy piano and reading a book. But every time he sees his cookie jar, he feels tempted to sneak a cookie. Finally, he comes up with a plan. He decides to give himself a "cookie time" every day, when he can eat one cookie and savor it slowly. With this plan in place, he feels more in control of his cravings.
By the end of the episode, Elmo and Abby have successfully washed and dried Blankey, and Cookie Monster has learned some valuable self-control skills. As they all gather together to sing a song, they realize that sometimes it's important to take care of ourselves and the things we love, even if it means facing our fears or overcoming our weaknesses.
