Bert's Training Wheels is the second episode of the 45th season of Sesame Street. This episode begins with Bert feeling nervous about his upcoming bike lesson and refusing to take off his training wheels. Elmo encourages Bert to embrace the challenge and take the training wheels off, but Bert is scared of falling and getting hurt.
Meanwhile, Abby and Rosita are having a tea party using Rosita's family tradition of "guayaba" tea. They invite Zoe to join them, but she doesn't like the tea. Abby tries to use her magic to make the tea taste different, but it doesn't work. They eventually decide to try a different type of tea and all enjoy a new flavor together.
Back at the bike lesson, Bert is still hesitant to take off the training wheels even with Ernie's encouragement. Eventually, Ernie comes up with a plan to help Bert feel more confident. He attaches erasers to Bert's bike pedals so that he can place his feet on them and "coast" without actually pedaling. This helps Bert get a feel for balancing and he starts to gain more confidence.
While practicing, Bert and Ernie encounter Big Bird who needs help with his cart. They work together to fix the cart and Big Bird is able to finish his deliveries for the day. This gives Bert a sense of accomplishment and he's ready to try riding without the training wheels.
The episode ends with Bert successfully riding his bike without the training wheels and feeling proud of himself. The friends celebrate with a bike parade and everyone joins in riding their bikes.
Overall, Bert's Training Wheels is an episode that teaches courage, perseverance, and the importance of believing in oneself. It also highlights the value of friendship and working together to achieve shared goals. With fun songs, silly antics, and valuable life lessons, this episode is sure to be a hit with young viewers.
