Twins Day On Sesame Street is the 19th episode of the 41st season of the popular children's show Sesame Street. In this episode, twins are celebrated throughout Sesame Street as everyone gets in on the fun. The story begins as Elmo with his friend Zoe meet several pairs of twins and learns all about their similarities and differences.
As they walk along, Elmo and Zoe discover that even though twins may look alike, they are still unique individuals with their own personalities. Elmo and Zoe are fascinated with how each twin finishes the other's sentences as like they were reading each other's minds.
Later on, Rosita and her twin brother, Raul, share a song that they wrote together. This draws a large crowd, and all the kids love it. The duo is later joined by a set of triplet siblings who showcase their talents in music, singing and dance. Together, they all perform a great number, and the Sesame Street kids love it.
Big Bird meets two cousins who may not be twins but share the same love for music. They teach Big Bird how they come up with music and lyrics together and play a fun tune that Big Bird enjoys.
Count Von Count even gets in on the fun by finding a set of triplets while going door to door to practice counting. The kids laugh and giggle as they help the Count practice, and the triplets show off their matching number t-shirts, each donning a different-numbered design depending on their positions in line.
Elsewhere on Sesame Street, Cookie Monster can't get enough of his favorite treat, cookies, but there just doesn't seem to be enough to go around. He meets some twin sisters, who offer their cookies, but he ends up eating them all! They teach Cookie Monster about sharing things with others who might not have any, and Cookie Monster soon understands the act and shares his last cookie.
Towards the end of the episode, Abby Cadabby meets twin brothers who are working together to grow a tree. They explain how they each take turns watering and taking care of the tree. Abby, who is running late for class underestimates teamwork and the power of working together, but soon realizes that it is not bad to ask for help.
