Sesame Street season 39 episode 12, titled "Number 6 Games," is all about the number six! The episode features Elmo, Abby Cadabby, and some of their Sesame Street friends as they play games and learn all about the number six.
The episode kicks off with Elmo and Abby playing a game of Six Jump, where they take turns jumping over a rope six times in a row. While they play, they count the jumps out loud to reinforce the concept of counting by sixes.
Next, Elmo and Abby head over to the bike shop where they meet their friend, Chris. Chris is working on a special bike that has six seats, six pedals, and six handlebars. The three of them work together to test out the bike and are extremely excited when they successfully all ride it at once.
Then, the Sesame Street gang heads outside for a game of Six Kick. They set up cups in a row and take turns trying to kick a ball into each one, counting the number of cups as they go.
Later, Elmo and Abby visit Cookie Monster at the bakery to see what he's up to. He's making a new recipe called "Six-Strawberry Shortcake" which requires six cups of flour, six tablespoons of sugar, and six eggs. As he bakes, he counts each ingredient out loud to reinforce the concept of counting by sixes.
The episode wraps up back on Sesame Street with a game of Six Musical Chairs. The gang sets up six chairs in a circle and plays music while they walk around them. When the music stops, they race to sit in one of the six chairs. Each time they play, they remove one chair until only one is left. The game teaches the concept of subtraction and helps kids understand that when someone takes away one item, the total amount decreases.
Overall, Sesame Street season 39 episode 12 is a fun and educational episode all about the number six. Through games, counting, and baking, Elmo and Abby learn about the importance of the number six and how it can be used to count and solve math problems.
