Telly is thrilled to have joined the Letter of the Month Club, and he excitedly awaits his first letter. As he eagerly checks his mailbox every day, he learns about different letters and their sounds through games and songs with his friends on Sesame Street. In one particularly fun segment, Cookie Monster introduces Telly to the letter C by singing a groovy, jazzy song about cookies. Meanwhile, Telly receives his first letter: it’s the letter B! Telly is confused and disappointed, and doesn’t understand why he didn’t get the letter A like everyone else.

To comfort him, his friends help him learn about the letter B and the sound it makes. As they play games and sing along, Telly discovers that there are many words that start with the letter B, such as bird, banana, and ball. He even learns that his friend Baby Bear’s name starts with a B! Telly becomes so enamored with the letter B that he starts to see it everywhere, even in places where it doesn’t exist. His friends, noticing his confusion, encourage him to slow down and focus on one letter at a time.

Later, Telly receives his second letter from the club and is overjoyed to find that it’s the letter T, which is the first letter of his name. His friends help him explore the letter T and its sound in a variety of ways, including a fun game of Twister and a song about a T-bird. Along the way, Telly starts to notice other letters that appear in his daily life, and he gets better at recognizing and pronouncing them.

The episode wraps up with a visit from the Letter of the Month Club president, who congratulates Telly on his progress and invites him to a special celebration for all the new members. Telly is thrilled to have made so much progress in a short amount of time, and thanks his friends for their support and encouragement. As the episode closes, Telly looks back at his journey so far and realizes that there are so many letters and words to discover, and he can’t wait to see what comes next.
